I am finding that WordPress and all the themes and plugins are not really intended for users but, rather, for those technically skilled developers. Users, like me, who are trying to brute force their way to creating a website because they cannot afford to hire a developer have very few helpful resources.

For example, I have never seen anything that actually identifies a gallery, a lightbox, and a thumbnail. I struggle trying to achieve the presentation I want and I suspect it would be easier if I know the difference between the three object just mentioned. A simple picture with arrows would be helpful. A sort of ‘Anatomy of a gallery’.

Even in the support… there is little that helps the beginner as the answers are far more complex than the simple questions we may ask. A user forum would be nice where maybe we could help each other.
